Our 20 year reunion is coming; man, I feel old!

Class of 1988

Class of 1988

I remember being in my teen years & thinking that the older folks that had kids my age or younger looked like…parents. Now getting ready to head out to my 20 year h.s. reunion, I feel like one of those parents. Not so much mentally, but responsibility wise & yeah, aging wise.

There are several friends I’ve been in contact with & am so excited to see! One dear friend remembered a class we had together. We got into trouble because we giggled throughout class. Who could blame us, our teacher was a former body builder. He was showing off his body building pictures…to teen age girls (guys were there too). GOOD HEAVENS! We turned a few shades of red & giggled like the school girls we were.

And then there’s the recreational t.p.ing or rolling as some people call it. We did lots of that. In fact several of my paychecks were used to clean out the local or surrounding areas of toliet paper. It became an art form as well as develop our ninja skills in attempts to NOT get caught. LOL.

We danced, we sang, we watched the guys play baseball, football and wrestle. I missed out on the swim meets, but had friends that went to them frequently. I remember the 80s music, the nip & tuck pants around the ankles, the penny loafers & folded down socks, the big “poofy” hair, and how young all of us were. We had some great memories together & yes, we managed to get our education in there too.

Thanks to the class of 1988. I have missed you!

  1. You and I have so many fond memories of those years… I can’t forget prom… How Joe and Synneve went together and we had Connie and Mike along… I still have those picks.

Wow! It feels more like yesterday than over 20.
